About Mary

Mary Aversa earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado in 1992 with a degree in English, Secondary Education.  She began her career as a high school English teacher in Aurora, Colorado, teaching a variety of writing, literature, and speech courses.  After leaving public education, she began working for Brinker International, first as a technical writer, then as an internal learning and development consultant, and finally moving into the role of project manager before leaving the company in 2006 to begin freelance work.

Mary’s clients have included training, human resources, and marketing departments in the restaurant, financial services, and architecture/engineering industries.

Mary lives and works in Austin, Texas, but works with clients in other cities, states, and even overseas.  Mary’s experience working with clients from a distance provides her with pragmatic and positive experience utilizing technology in the workplace effectively to reduce travel.
